Salah is a form of worship in the religion Islam. Its significance for the Muslims can be well understood from the fact that it is one of the five pillars of Islam. Salah is a form of worship that has prescribed condition, prescribed procedure and the prescribed time. Some of these are obligatory, with just few dispensations under certain circumstances. For all those people, whom it is physically difficult to perform Salah, they can perform it in a much suitable manner or way. For performing valid Salah, all Muslims must be in the state of purity, which can be achieved through proper ablution.

Salah also includes the repition of unit names rakah and it consists of the prescribed actions and words. About the importance of Salah, Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) once said: “Five prayers and from one Friday prayer to (the next) Friday prayer is an expiation (of the sins committed in between their intervals) if major sins are not committed.”
 
  
For all the Muslims, Salah must be offered five times every day. If you study Live Quran, you will get to know more about the significance of Prayers. The timings of Salah is measured according to movement of the sun. Those who do not offer Salah will get many punishments from Almighty Allah. From all these punishments, he will receive three while dying, he will receive three of these punishments in the grave and three on the day of judgment.

Punishments of Life:

1) Allah Almighty will not grant him any blessings and will make his life misfortunate.

2) Allah will not accept any of his plea.

3) Allah will erase and remove all the good features from him face.

4) Allah will not reward him for all his good deeds.

He will also receive these three punishments while dying, which are:

1) He will die humiliated.

2) He will die hungry.

3) He will die thirsty.
